TrueAlarm analog sensors give an analog measure that is digitally sent to the control panel for the host via Simplex addressesable communication. The control unit analyzes the data, calculates an average value, then keeps it. The sensor’s current value with its average value and time, it detects an alarm or any other unusual circumstance.
The monitoring of each sensor’s average will provide a continuously changing point of reference. The software-based filtering process adjusts for environmental influences like dirt and dust, as well as component age, in order to provide an accurate basis for evaluating the new activity. This helps reduce the risk of false alarms that result from shifts in the sensitivity.
