The Simplex 4098-9755 TrueAlarm Analog Addressable Duct Sampling Unit detects the presence of smoke in air conditioning or ventilation ducts. For use with Simplex addressable fire alarm control panels.
Simplex 4098-9755’s duct sensor housing offers TrueAlarm operation to detect of smoke within ventilating or air conditioning ducts. Additionally the sampling tubes are inserted inside the duct, allowing air to be directed towards the smoke sensor which is located in the housing. In addition, monitoring the average of each photoelectric sensor allows for a filtering software that adjusts for environmental variables as well as the aging of components and provides a reliable reference for evaluating the new activities.
The result is a dramatic decrease in the likelihood of nuisance or false alarms that result from shifts in sensitivity, whether up or down. In addition, the alarm set time for each sensor is set by the control panel, which can be set depending on the particular application’s needs.
In actuality, every Simplex 4098-9755 housing sensor’s status LED in red flashes to signal communication between the panels. If the control panel is able to determine that sensors are in alarm or is dirty or is experiencing some other sort of problem The details will be announced on the control panel, as the sensor housing’s status LED will turn continuously.
