4090-9116 addressable IDNet Communications Isolators offer IDNet communications isolation that improves installation efficiency and enhance the reliability of the system.
Isolation is activated automatically whenever an output short circuit is detected. It is also able to be set manually through the control panel in order to help troubleshoot wiring issues. Isolators are powered up in isolation mode, and are then directed to connect via controls. When the wiring for output is in good condition the isolator can be connected to the remainder part of the circuit. In the event that an output wire has been shorted the isolator remains in isolation.
The isolator relays information its findings back to the panel when it’s in isolation mode. The amount of shorted wiring communicated to the panel through identifying the device addresses not communicating. Isolators are assigned sequentially to low number addresses in order to speed up SLC starting.
The isolator reports back to the panel when it is in isolation mode. In the course of installation earth faults are common. The most effective way to identify these faults is the complete disconnection of wiring. With the 4090-9116 addressable IDNet Isolator earth faults that are on IDNet communications lines are easily identified to assist in their fix and restore the normal wiring in the system.
4090-9116 Isolators offer IDNet communications isolation, which can improve installation efficiency and enhance the reliability of the system. Isolation will be activated automatically when a short circuit in the output is detected. It can be manually selected via the control panel in order to help troubleshoot wiring issues.
Operation. Isolators start up when they are in isolation mode, and are instructed to connect via the panel control. When the wiring for output is in good condition the isolator will be connected to the remainder part of the circuit. When the wire for an output connection is damaged the isolator will remain in isolation.
Status Tracking. The isolator informs the panel when it’s in isolation mode. Also, the amount of wiring that is shorted is communicated back on the panel’s side by denoting the device addresses that aren’t communicating. Isolators are assigned sequentially to low-number addresses in order to speed up SLC start-up.The panel reports back to the isolator when it is in isolation mode.
Earth Faults. In the course of installation earth faults are common. The detection of these faults typically necessitates extensive wiring disconnection. The 4090-9116 detects earth faults in IDNet communications lines can be identified. IDNet communications lines are easily located to assist in their fix and also to return the normal wiring of the system.
The 4090-9116 IDNet Isolator is a line-powered addressable device that offers short circuit protection for the IDNet channel. If a short is discovered in the IDNet channel the IDNet Isolator is connected to the 4100ES or 4100U 4010ES, or the 4008 4010ES, 4008 or 4100U Alarm Control Panel (FACP) and the short will automatically allow access to the IDNet channel.
The FACP can be controlled by the Isolator to close or open the lines, allowing the FACP to identify earths and shorts in the IDNet channel. The IDNet channel is the link for communication to Addressable IDNet Isolator, and FACP and also powers the circuit.
It is essential that the in- and out IDNet wiring (Style 6) is required to be connected through the 4090-9116 IDNet Isolator to ensure separation between non-fire and fire alarm devices for the following non-fire scenarios:
* A 4090 9001 or a 9051 Supervised IAM can be configured to monitor single-station smoke detectors
* The 4090-9121 Security IAM connects to that exact IDNet channel as the other IDNet loop devices.
If it is the case that an IDNet channel has been connected Style 4, the non-fire IAM(s) should be wired as last device on the loop. Also, the input of that first non-fire IAM is wired via an 4090-91116 IDNet Isolator.
The temperature range in which the 4090-9116 addressable IDNet Isolator can function is between zero degrees Celsius (32deg F) and 49deg C (120deg F). The 4090-9116 addressable IDNet Isolator operates normally under conditions of non-condensing humidity as high as 93% relative humidity as low as 32deg Celsius (90deg F)
